Congress gets lowest rating in 24 years.....

The number of Americans who view Congress favorably has dipped to a 24-year low, according to a new Pew Research Center for the People and the Press poll released Wednesday. Only 37 percent of those surveyed held a favorable view of Congress, down 13 percentage points since April, while 52 percent held an unfavorable view. The nationwide telephone survey of 2,003 adults was conducted Aug. 20 to 27, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points. Looking forward to the congressional races next year, the Pew Center found Republicans and Democrats running even when those polled were asked which party’s candidate they would vote for if the election were held today.
